Being a long time SMP300m fan, I like this in black, a lot (don't like the blue at all) and your pics are fantastic!
Well, it finlly arrived and boy am I impressed!
I've had a fair few watches in my time but this has to be up there with the best of them regarding build, finsish and wrist presence.
41mm black Omega Seamaster Ceramic.

It's just a matter of time...
Saweet.
Dial sure does POP !
Absolutely lovely! Congratulations!
That liquid metal dial looks stunning....forgive me by saying it looks better minus waves
I'll be keeping my eye on SC now for months  Fantastic pictures of a truly lovely watch, thanks for posting.
A real beauty!

THAT is a stunner!
Very very nice - congratulations !!
Bored yet ....???
yes, yes and thrice yes
Very nice!
The blue will divide opinion (although I liked the look of it in a display case), but the black is a clear winner IMO.
That is a stunner! Great pictures too.
Maybe I am alone, but I do miss the waves a bit.
I do think the new style sets it apart though, with enough of the 'heritage' still in there.
Fabulous. :salute:
That's very nice, but I wish Omega would offer a full sword hands option again.
:thumbright: Oustanding watch as are your photographs Neil :D
What a great watch and such excellent shots. I'd love one to join the collection, if only they offered a version without the skeleton hands - everything else about it though is damn near perfect.

Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations
I'll take it.

I beat Tony because he didn't say the immortal words of SC, "I'll take it" :P

It's a beauty, I'll be keeping an eye out in SC.
Fantastic photos Neil... the black looks so glossy that you could almost sink into it!!
Enjoy!
Very nice...I really like a lot....with Omega you can't get wrong...congratulation again....
daft question but what does the bezel feel like when rotated?smooth/silky?
read a few messages about the 'iffy'feel of the PO ceramic.
Dave
I like it so much I bought one a couple of months ago!!
The black is sooooo nice, and a huge improvement on the 'wave' version.
Joe
Also SMP fan here, didn't like the non-wave dial on new model, but it's growing on me ... slowly :blackeye:
Is it just me or the new Ceramic models look a little thicker then 2254/2255/Bond?
Err, the dial isn't LiquidMetal. I don't even think it's ceramic, just glossy?Originally Posted by sunster

have to agree about the non-sword hands comments tho
compared to the sub this watch is amazing value, looks as good & i spent a lot of time staring at it in the AD window last Sunday
The black is much nicer than the blue, but IMO the previous version with the traditional bezel and wavey dial was nicer.
Having said that, the 2254.50 with it's ETA-based 1120 movement was the best of the bunch IMO.
That's progress, I suppose. The watch is nice in it's own right and reflects the status that Omega are trying to aspire to.
The brand is on an upwardly-mobile journey and I for one won`t be travelling with it.....Omega/Swatch are not my favorite folk at the moment.
Nice watch from a company that's got a very strange attitude towards its heritage and it's previous values.

Hi
That dial looks like the Abyss.! Must say they have made a good job of the whole package...
...personally I still like the waves :-)
Thanks
deano
They are stunning, i too have smudged a window looking at these, i was surprised how good it looks.
Damn shame about those hands!
I bought the blue one last week from the SC at a very attractive price. I had tried it on in the new boutique in Glasgow comparing it to the Bond version and my own Planet Ocean. I have to say that it won hands down. It seemed to have a depth that the others couldn't match and I was captivated. Not captivated enough to part with £2700, though.
So when a newish one came up on the SC I grabbed it. And loved it. Then, after wearing it around the house for a few hours I decided that I didn't like it after all and tried to sell it. Luckily as it turns out, it didn't move so rather than enter into a price reduction death spiral I gave it another go, and loved it again. So what was happening? I think the answer for me is that, depending on the light this watch is a complete chameleon. It varies from mid, petrol blue to nearly black and the bezel is differently reflective in differ light too. Now most of those colour and shine combinations are great, but in some circumstances the blue just doesn't look right, a sort of muddy, flat, bluish green. And that's the one colour that I didn't like. It always look brilliant in the mirror, however, regardless of the light, unlike it's owner!
So I'm really glad I kept it. I love it 90% of the time, and whenever I try to rotate and wear the PO for a turn I very quickly return to the SMPc. The PO just looks a bit lifeless in comparison.
Anyway, just my tuppence worth. The black looks fab too!
Oh no. I'm starting to like Omega's more and more now. Must get the Wife to hide my cheque book.
That's a really lovely watch.
Omega really are making some lovely pieces that look/feel just right.

During the 90's nearly everyone who fancied a nice watch bought one I these, maybe that's why they leave me stone cold. I must be getting old :-)
Congratulations Neil, the watch looks great and your photographs are superb :thumbleft:
Wow omega did a great job on this one.
Wow thats very very nice
:)
Lovely watch............but after seeing the photos I think I'd prefer the waves, the glossy dial just looks a bit stark! And I thought it would be for me, from some other pics.
Strange
Congrats mate, absolutely superb.
Cant wait to get my hands on one. I do love the classic wavy dial and if I get my hands on a black SMPc it would be as well as, not instead of my blue 2220.80.
Love the new bezel and updated bezel font, plus the double sided AR. Wow!
Lovely watch! regret not buying one when I had the chance! enjoy
That is really nice - i agree that the liquid metal looks nicer than the waves
i also think though, that solid (sword?) hands would look better
still lovely though, and great pics!
That dail looks exceptionally good. At first I missed the wave patern, but this looks really great!
Wow, that is a seriously nice watch. Your photos are excellent, I love the one that shows the hands and the way they locate on the post - the detail is amazing.
Don't you just love the red accents on the deep black dial :) ?
I especially love the monochromatic look of this watch. Hard to explain but EVERYTHING on this watch is either 'silverish grey' or 'deep black' coloured. That includes the minute markers, text, case, bezel marks etc..
The only thing that is white is the lume. With the help of the 'invisible' double A/R crystal it makes this watch one of the easiest to read :) .
I was one of the first human beings on this planet to own one of these and I love it more today than I did when I first got it  !
Wear it in best health. I wear mine everywhere!

“ Ford... you're turning into a penguin. Stop it.” HHGTTG
I see that the bracelet has screws, rather than pins, holding the removable links. A move in the right direction IMHO.
Yes lovely Omega :thumbright: thought the blue was lovely but the black is striking !
Great pics BTW
Tony
