    New arrival

As a result of downsizing of my collection I got only one watch - speedy pro with hesalite and sapphire back. After years with watches that had at lest 200m WR, I had watch I cannot use while swimming. So I started to look for a weekend beater with decent WR. One of the candidates was Seiko FFF, but somehow I wanted more gadget than a watch. And after 10 years with mechanical watches I bought my first digital - Suunto Core All Black.

It is quite big, but thanks to the way how strap is attached it does not (at least I hope) look awkward on my skinny wrist.

From some angles crystal is mirror-like.

Size is ~49x14mm, negative display. Functions are altimeter, barometer, compass, depth meter, thermometer. Oh, and sometimes it does show time :)

Suunto make excellent do everything watches, had an observer a while ago and might just get a X10 or Core.

Maybe it has heartbeat monitor? Should be useful.

How it allows you to swim fast?

I picked up a positive display one recently - fantastically usable. I'm very tempted with the all black though - it's a great looking watch.

I have the very same watch great valure for money but i find the dial a bit of a pain to read, the contrasr/brightness can be addjustded but not enough for me,

Loving the Suunto. I remember a few months ago, travelling through Helsinki airport and they had some bargains in there, am waiting for my next trip to pick one up.
