COME ON QPR !
Sorry........
I've hardly slept and setting off for the game in a couple of hours, I've never been so nervous :drunken:
Can we lift the first league title in my lifetime? I hope so!!!!
COME ON QPR !
United by chance?! ;)Originally Posted by amnesia

I think the Bournemouth thing gives that away ;)Originally Posted by gilford
Yes, the home counties are going to be full of plastic Man Utd fans sobbing into their Man U mugs and deciding to support City next season!
I hope QPR can spring a surprise and United win the title. Either way, I'll still be supporting United's efforts next season.
Hooopsaaa!
In an ideal scenario, we'd beat City to stay up and United would lose to United reserves (I think that was a better jibe when Bruce was still in charge at Sunderland) to blow the title...
And Chelsea would finish sixth. Oh, I see they already have!
COYS
Not slept, got shakes and feeling tearful.
Not felt like this before a game before, even the semi and final last year. At least we won it in my lifetime before, I was 3 weeks old but still counts. :)
Bring back Barry Conlan and Bournemouth away!! At least I never felt like this then!!
Malc
mark hughes has a point to prove to city after getting fired so I think qpr will we well up for it, and they really need 1 point to stay up - 11 men in the box defending I believe
on the other hand arsenal really cant draw another match and miss out on 3rd,
I'm a staunch United fan and I believe we've dreadfully under achieved this season with a well below par 1st team.
If we had Vidic all season injury free then it would have been the same scenario as the last few seasons with another
Premiership in the bag, but all said I think City have played some inspiring and majestic football this season and had
Tevez not thrown his toys out the pram then in the circumstances dealt to Utd this season City would already have it
in the bag. Its good for the Prem that we have another team that can now be counted as true contenders and the
others have to raise their bar once again, no longer a forlorn conclusion that its either Utd or Chelski.
Next season looks to be a superb year with what I'd imagine to be strentghened Utd, City and Chelski and the 2 north
London outfits looking to improve on their dismal second half of the season results. Hopefully Newcastle can prove
they haven't been a one season wonder but I'm doubting that they can improve on this years efforts. I just hope today if
it is City's day they do it in style and blow QPR away and not just fall over the line with a scrappy draw and Utd failing at
Sunderland.
Hoping for QPR, Blackburn and Fulham today.
Should they win I'll be looking at early retirement (well not quite but it would mean a lot of dosh).
C'mon you reds!!!
As a Man U man, we blew it in the Everton game
I don't think my nerves can take it, still debating if I will watch it.
City will thrash QPR, they are so close and have got too much talent in the squad for any slip-ups. I'll say 4-0 City.
United til I die 8)
Going to plan at the moment... Glory Glory Man United !

Unbelievable, just unbelievable.
Congrats to all City fans!
eat that MAN UTD - lol - there should be a bank holiday for that!!!!!!
Delighted to see Utd lose and Bolton get relegated. Made my day
What a finish to the season, I have to say I surprised city pulled that out the bag

I think all things considered, Fergie did a great job this season with the players he had available.
Even with the silly money City spent, it went down to dumb luck....

As for the day - could not have happened any better! Left it a bit late, but a dying seconds winner to take the league was just perfect!
Could have heard a pin drop in the pub! United won, City had an extra couple of minutes to play after the sending off and three goals (so please f**k off all the nobs talking about 'a ridiculous 5 minutes added'. United had three minutes added after the least eventful second half ever) and the news came through - City have scored.
Awesome.
Just seen Fergie actually praise City (rightfully) for winning the league - yet the fans still put it down to bad luck? Wow, what a set of eejits.
Now I'm getting changed and going back for a LOT more pints.
Arab bloke buys something - nothing to see / move on ...
It certainly wasn't 'dumb luck' that City won - they deserved to win the title and it would have been a travesty if Utd had won after playing their worst season I can remember for a long time.
Fergie will be ruing the 8 point lead they squandered but deep down I think he will acknowledge that Utd just weren't good enough this season, after not reaching even a semi final and even getting mullered home and away in the Europa league.
I thought Mancini's ass would be handed to him but I think he'll be safe now, and handed a nice little spending kitty in the summer.
As a Burnley fan, it's a great day, Coyle got what he deserved.
Well done City!
So glad it was nicked right from under the noses of United...superb! :D
And they finish trophy-less too. :D
Typical City - never do anything the easy way (brought to mind the Gillingham playoff)
But to be fair to Fergie he was man enough to congratulate City in his interview and say it's a tough league and deserves congratulation.
(though he did add that we did it agianst 10 men for 30 min - and had 5 min stoppage time - which is rich from Man U)
Oh & Barton showed what a complete numpty he really is with that display.

Congratulations to Mancherter City.
Even seeing it from the distance was an exciting end; to break the supporters nerves.
Agüero deserves the money M.C. paid to my team Atlético de Madrid.
It's nice to see clubs breaking the duopoly in the football leagues, I hope this happens soon in the spanish Liga.
Greetings.
Not a big football fan. However casually watching semis last week, and thought they played well . Someone explained situ n that they not won title for 44 years. So thought i'd follow them and anyone would have thought i was a lifelong fan today!

I'm a City man and was playing golf ths afternoon. Came in off the course and walked into the pro shop just in time to see QPR go 2-1 up with two Man U fans from the shop giving me some stick.
At 3-2 went running from the bar back into the pro shop shouting "Get in there"!!!! to the two Man U boys!
What a brilliant brilliant day!

What a game.
I believe it was the best ever, because of what was riding on it.
Unbelievable.
Indeed.Originally Posted by JeffCansell

City are the benefit claimants of football. They always find something positive to talk about, despite being long term losers.
Now they've got their version of a job after all these years, let's see if they can manage in the real world.
The funniest thing is that I go to Spurs with a Man Utd fan (amongst others) and when we left the ground today he still thought they'd won the title. It's impossible to get on the net until way after a match, but his brother called him about ten minutes later and broke the news
It's not luck - it's a never say die attitude.Originally Posted by Catalin.Somer

And so should City on this occasion.
If it ricocheted off the ref via the corner flag it may have been luck. It wasn't.

37 points behind us and a team who've turned more corners than Lewis Hamilton. That's how low Liverpool have stoopedOriginally Posted by WingTsun

As a Man U man, I'm going wake up and its all been a bad dream
Fair play to City, they have won it and the party starts. They deserve it and nothing should take away from it. I think their fans deserve also it sticking with them through thick and then.
I'm glad Utd matched them on points though. We can hold our heads high, we blew it in the Everton game.
I remember supporting Utd throught the 70's and 80's and taking all the crap from the Liverpool men. It haunted me and I made a point never to gloat about our success. It really is swings and round-abouts. I'm more concerned on how my team does than anything else.
I just hope that Man Utd really do get a decent owner who will invest in the club, instead of raping it. The fans deserve better.
Utd 'til I die 8)
Well done City. A really quite remarkable afternoon of flicking between the two matches, as a neutral I really enjoyed it.
As a Man Utd supporter I would have liked the 20th title to go ahead of everybody on the all time list.
But it would have felt false this year, Man City have been the better team across the whole season and beat us both home and away.
It will also mean Utd will invest more in players this summer, if they had won it Fergie would not have got so much money.
Barton !! if you are going to elbow the Argentinian twat, make the effort worth it !!
A busted nose splashing the tomato sauce as a minimum.
goes to show City buys everything - today the referee
Let's see what happens when city become the most hated team in the league with their laissez faire attitude to spending. I still think it'll be only a matter of time before there's a major fallout within the squad. You can only play 11 in one match
