RAF chronograph Mk.II 6a/390

Some years ago I "won" a rather interesting chrono on ebaym clearly AM marked on back of case and some markings on dial. One working and 2 in parts was in the lot.

Never found out what it was until recently when I asked over at another forum if this watch is covered in K.Knirims books. The author himself posted an answer with copy of the pages covering this Mk.II.

Turns out it's an navigational watch and papers shows that it should be used when an Weems wrist watch model was not available.
