That's a perfect match. What's the watch and the strap?

Cheers, it's a combination that I'm very pleased with. The watch is an early 1950's J.W. Benson with 16j Smiths Movement, it has a similar dial pattern and movement to the well known 1953 Everest expedition Smiths watch worn by Sir Edmund Hillary.

The story of the rather splendid Donegal tweed straps is here, this one is a 'mid green salt & pepper': http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...ed-straps-here

Thank you. The watch is fantastic and the strap sets it off well.

Cheers. The watch is a J.W. Benson with 16j Smiths Movement dating from the early '50s. It has a very similar dial pattern and movement to the 1953 Everest expedition Smiths watch worn by Sir Edmund Hillary.

The strap is a Donegal tweed 'mid green salt & pepper' made by Andrea at Martú. For details, see here: [url]http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.php?408460-Roll-up-roll-up-Get-your-Donegal-tweed-straps-here

What a great piece of history. I have a photo of that from the clockmakers museum

This is my latest and a good combination, more comfortable than the steel bracelet. Crafter Blue on a Seiko Sumo.
