    Gap Insurance

Sorry I know it’s been discussed in the past but I can’t seem to find the tread anywhere by searching

I’ve a new to me merc coming next week and I want to cover it to invoice price and the dealers was nearly £700 which is guaranteed to be a rip off.

    Thanks

I’ve used ALA for the last 3 PCH cars I’ve had. Cover was about £100 for 2 years.

    Cheers

You don't need it for the first year as most insurance policies cover a new replacement in first year(Check your own policy to confirm)

However if you are leasing i understand there are more insurance companies that don't cover the first year so you would need to cover from first day.

If second hand then as above ALA
